The General Overseer of the Citadel Global Community Church, formerly known as Latter Rain Assembly, Pastor Tunde Bakare, has called on Igbo to play mainstream politics to succeed President Muhammadu Buhari in 2023.
Speaking in an Instagram Live interview with the publisher of Ovation Magazine, Chief Dele Momodu, the former Vice-Presidential candidate said he will love to have someone from Igbo extraction as president.

The General Overseer of the Citadel Global Community Church, Lagos, Pastor Tunde Bakare, on Tuesday, disclosed the discussion he had with Yoruba activist Sunday Adeyemo popularly known as Sunday Igboho amid the Herdsmen crisis affecting Ibarapa area of Oyo State.

FG, SSANU, NASU Meeting Ends In Deadlock
The meeting between the non-teaching staff in the universities under the umbrella of Joint Action Committee and officials of the Federal Government on Tuesday ended in deadlock.
Recall that Non-Academic Staff Union of Educational and Associated Institutions, NASU and the Senior Staff Association of Nigeria Universities, SSANU had threatened to embark on industrial strike starting from February 5 if the government failed to address some of the concerns they raised.
