Governor Nasir El-Rufai of Kaduna State on Saturday announced that he has tested positive for the deadly coronavirus (COVID-19).

Coronavirus: Presidency Denies Plan To Pay N30,000 Stipends To Nigerians

The Presidency has denied reports that President Muhammadu Buhari has approved N30,000 stipends to be given to every Nigerian with a verified Bank Verification Number (BVN) to cushion hardships occasioned by the coronavirus (COVID-19).

Naija News reports that the Minister of Finance, Budget and National Planning, Zainab Ahmed, had said the federal government is considering giving out stipends to people whose jobs have been affected by the coronavirus outbreak.

Coronavirus: Tinubu Urge Buhari To Reduce Tax, Spend VAT

The National Leader of the All Progressives Congress, Bola Tinubu, has called on President Muhammadu Buhari-led government to take some measures towards the economy of Nigeria if the outbreak of Coronavirus threatens the country’s economy.
