The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control, NCDC, has confirmed one hundred and sixty-two (162) new cases of Coronavirus disease in the country.
The health agency announced the newly discovered cases at exactly 11:25 pm of Saturday, September 5 via a post on its official microblogging site, Twitter.
The development brings the overall confirmed cases of COVID-19 in Nigeria to 54905, Naija News understands.

Meanwhile, after five months of the closure of the Nigerian airspace due to lockdown occasioned by the coronavirus pandemic, the first international flight on Saturday landed at the Murtala Muhammed International Airport, Lagos State, Naija News reports.
