Kano State Governor, Abdullahi Ganduje on Saturday visited the family of former Governor Rabi’u Musa Kwankwaso where he condoled with them on the death of his father, late Alhaji Musa Sale Kwankwaso.

The Governor was welcomed by the Commissioner for Rural Development, Musa Iliasu Kwankwaso a few kilometers from Kwankwaso’s home town and was also received by the Village Head of Kwankwaso town, Alhaji Baba Musa Kwankwaso.

Ganduje was accompanied on the condolence visit by the Leader of the House of Representatives, Al-Hassan Ado Doguwa, State Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Abdullahi Abbas, party elder, Nasiru Aliko Koki, former Managing Director, Aminu Dabo, and some commissioners and advisers.

According to a statement by the Chief Press Secretary (CPS) to the governor, Abba Anwar, Ganduje described the late Kwankwaso as a complete gentleman, a God-fearing and committed leader.

“We’ve lost a very caring father, who had blessed years of life before returning to Allah. May Allah forgive his soul and continue to shower blessings on him,” he said.

“Our late father was a complete gentleman, very patient, a God-fearing leader; focused and committed he was. That was why he was praised by all. May Allah forgive all his shortcomings and reward him with Jannatul Fiddaus,” Ganduje prayed.

He also promised based on a request by Baba, a younger brother to former Governor Kwankwaso to appoint the village head of the community, Baba Musa Kwankwaso, as the next district head.

As previously reported by Naija News, Musa Kwankwaso, the father of former governor of Kano State, Senator Rabiu Kwankwaso, died aged 93 years.

The elder Kwankwaso died in the early hours of Friday, December 25, 2020.

His death was made known in a statement to newsmen by the ex-governor Kwankwaso’s principal private secretary, Muhammad Ali.

Until his death, the elder Kwankwaso was the Makaman Karaye.
