The Kano State Police Command has apprehended a female kidnapper and two men for allegedly kidnapping a child of Galadanchi ward head, Ado Sunusi, in Gwale Local Government of Kano.

Information gathered revealed that police operatives traced the car which was used to abduct the boy and the driver was arrested at Beruit Road in Kano.

The driver after he was arrested disclosed the whereabout of the female kidnapper and it was learnt that the woman is the gang leader.

The Police Command noted that they surrounded a house in Jaba community of Ungogo Local Government where the suspects were apprehended.

The operation led to the arrest of three men and a lady, it was disclosed that two of the suspected kidnappers are Zamfara State indigenes.

According to DailyTrust, it was discovered that the female kidnapper rented the apartment used for kidnapping from a caretaker at the rate of 600,000 in a year.

The female suspect during an investigation noted that she started kidnapping people after her husband was killed in Zamfara.

Naija News had earlier reported that the Niger State Police Command has arrested a 16-year-old suspected female armed bandit identified as Maryam Sani.

The suspect was arrested along with her male partner on Wednesday, 13th January 2021 along Bangi/Wamba road according to a statement on Monday from the State Police PRO, ASP Wasiu Abiodun.
