Owa of Igbajo, Oba Olufemi Fashade, is dead.
The monarch of the town in Osun State was reported to have joined his ancestors on Thursday.
Oba Fashade reportedly died after failing to recover from an illness. Oba Fashade, a retired soldier, was installed Owa of Igbajo in 1990.
A source in the town, who preferred anonymity, who spoke with Punch said, “But the formal announcement of his passage won’t be done until all necessary rites are completed,”
This is coming a few days after the director of administration in the palace of the Olu of Warri, Chief Clement Malaghemi revealed that the Olu of Warri, HRM Ogiame Ikenwoli is not dead.
The palace official on Tuesday disclosed that contrary to earlier reports that the traditional ruler has passed on, the Monarch is only ill at the moment and receiving treatment.
